Project Getaway 2013: The best month of my life!
Last October, me and Carl went to Project Getway Bali ( http://projectgetaway.com/ ) which is one of the best things I have ever done in my life! Unfortunately I didn’t write a blog post about it until now.
The idea behind Project Getaway is to get talented, ambitious people from all over the world to meet up in Bali for one month to work, exchange ideas, getting new friends and having a lot of fun. All normal day-to-day tasks like cooking, cleaning, laundry etc. are taking care of, so you don’t have to worry about anything like that.
Here are some videos that does a good job of explaining what Project Getaway is all about:
PG Video 3 (with me as one of the talking heads)
There are several reasons why I loved Project Getaway so much, and all together it made it one of the best months of my life:
- I made a lot of new friends.
- Me and Carl where good friends since before, but PG made us even closer.
- I learned a tonne of stuff about marketing, SEO, what SaaS services to use, outsourcing, fund raising, how to be more efficient, how to balance life and a lot of other things.
- I got to live and work in paradise for a month.
- We had a lot of fun parties!
Project Getaway also has a certain “Paradise Hotel” feeling about it. There is something about the easy life, tropical beaches & beautiful sunsets that makes it really easy to fall in love, and then, just as easy, get your heart broken. We had a lot of that during this Project Getaway (myself included)… ;-)
Here are the songs that played constantly during PG and that I will forever relate to Bali and Project Getaway (the first three thanks to Ike):
Tensnake – Coma Cat – Radio Edit
Snoop Dogg – Young, Wild & Free – feat. Bruno Mars
